Manitou Lodge Hotel Review: Visitors to Manitou Lodge will love its massive Great Room, where they can enjoy the warmth of the giant stone fireplace and majestic views of the property's ten acres of coastal rainforests. This lovely inn boasts a Western Hemlock tree that is more than a thousand years old, as well as the reputation of being the “westmost bed-and-breakfast in the lower 48." The rooms feature eclectic lodge-style décor, including cozy quilts and wood furnishings. For summertime visitors, the lodge offers cabins and tent sites for which it provides all of the necessary camping gear and furnishings. There's scant cell reception on the property, but who needs it? The focus here is on life's simple pleasures, beginning each morning with "Breakfast-in-a-Basket," which allows guests the flexibility to eat on the go, in their rooms or in the lodge’s Great Room.
