The Maxwell Hotel Review: There are certain things a traveler can count on from the Pineapple Hospitality group, beginning with colorful décor and comprehensive eco-friendly policies. At this hotel at the base of Queen Anne, vibrant mosaics, murals and kids’ art tiles set a relaxed tone, from the lobby to the indoor swimming pool. Guest rooms (including dog-friendly accommodations) come with pillow-top beds, welcome packets of popcorn, Keurig coffee brewers with Tully’s coffee, safes, iPod docking stations, flat-panel TVs and walk-in showers. When it comes to freebies, the hotel is more than generous: parking (first come, first serve), Wi-Fi, local shuttle service, bicycle use and afternoon reception featuring Starbucks coffee and pineapple cupcakes from the Sugar Rush Baking Co. Among the facilities on-site, guests will find a conference room, boardroom and espresso bar. There is also The Rock restaurant, for wood-fired pizza and microbrews. The hotel is adjacent to Seattle Center, home of the Space Needle and some of the city’s top arts and culture venues.
