MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Review: When this hotel boasts about its superlative size, it's not kidding. The Grand Pool Complex is a resort unto itself, Hakkasan Las Vegas is massive and the dining options will transform you into a bona fide foodie. With a cast of 80 and a massive, rotating stage, the $180 million Asian-themed Cirque du Soleil production, KÀ, is dazzling. The 16,800-seat MGM Grand Garden Arena features excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting and sound for concerts, championship boxing and more. The 5,044 spacious rooms in the four, 30-story, emerald green towers have undergone a complete renovation. Keep in mind that you may have a long walk from the elevator to your accommodations. Depending on your choice of room or suite, you can enjoy beautiful ceramic-tiled bathrooms, spacious closets, whirlpools and/or four-seat dining tables. To accommodate the casino's highest rollers, The Mansion of MGM Grand offers 29 lavish villas. Given the frantic pace of Vegas, it's no wonder the hotel also opened a sanctuary of one- to three-bedroom loft accommodations on its top two floors. The urban-styled Skylofts were designed by Tony Chi and feature custom TVs, 32-inch LCD TVs at the infinity-edge Jacuzzi spa tubs, steam rooms in the master bedrooms, PCs customized with your music selections, Dream Butlers offering pillow selections and herbal teas, and remotes for everything from the drapes to the temperature control. Additional attention getters include the Forever Grand Wedding Chapel, Joël Robuchon, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Emeril Lagasse’s New Orleans Fish House, Michael Mina’s Pub 1842 and a 53,000-square-foot ultrapool combining an exclusive nightlife vibe with poolside pampering and relaxation. Furnished with plush sitting areas, the elaborate 380,000-square-foot Conference Center is a showcase for the resort.
