Napa River Inn Hotel Review: Overlooking the Napa River, this boutique hotel is housed in the former Napa Mill, a landmark that dates back to 1884. Daring style dominates the interior, with a bold palette of deep reds and rich ochres that has an almost gaudy French sensibility. At the same time, the fireplaces and exposed brick walls make the place feel cozy. With many boasting views of the river, the 66 guest rooms come standard with TVs, voicemail and data ports, and offer such personalized extras as grapeseed oil bath amenities. Many also have balconies overlooking the Napa River. The property offers meeting rooms, a modest business center, small fitness room, restaurants, jazz club and Sweetie Pies bakery, which often sends enticing aromas through the historic Hatt building, where some of the rooms are housed. In a small adjoining building, guests can relax at the La Pelle Skin Spa & Boutique, which opened in 2009. The property is within walking distance of more than a dozen tasting rooms in downtown Napa, as well as the city's Oxbow Public Market.
