The Nolitan Hotel Review: With an excellent blend of style, attention and fun extras, The Nolitan is determined to make you feel as if you're at one with the neighborhood. The hotel will even lend you a skateboard or bicycle to help move your local travels along, since there's an awful lot to explore in the area. Galleries, restaurants, tiny little shops --- we love love love them all in this area. The hotel, which houses 55 rooms, offers a nice variety of layouts. We're keen on the rooms with private balconies (a rare treat in NYC) and the "cityscape corner" rooms with fantastic views of the Williamsburg Bridge. No matter the setup, amenities include good beds, 37-inch flat-screen TVs, Red Flower bath products and tech musts like iPod-friendly music systems and, upon request, video game systems. Wi-Fi is complimentary, and you can even borrow a laptop if you prefer to travel light. Rooms also have an "open bathroom floor plan" so, unless you're okay with showing your altogether to traveling companions, consider booking separate rooms. (Fortunately, the toilets are tucked away for privacy.) Though there's no in-house gym, the hotel does offer complimentary passes to neighborhood Equinox Fitness. Good news for dog owners: The Nolitan welcomes pets.
