Oge House - Inn on the Riverwalk Hotel Review: At the romantic, historic Oge House, guests can get a taste of a luxurious bygone era. This neoclassical property was built in 1857 for Newton Mitchell and later expanded by rancher Louis Oge; it has since been recorded in the Library of Congress Historic American Buildings Survey by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Lush grounds adorned with a gazebo and hammocks provide the setting for well-equipped rooms with plenty of modern amenities. The Oge House offers ten accommodations on three floors, each featuring European and American antiques, private bathrooms with tubs and showers, king- or queen-size beds, high-speed Internet access, flat-panel TVs with cable and DVD players, and mini-refrigerators; some also have electric fireplaces. Innkeepers serve a full breakfast each morning at private tables in the dining room or on the front veranda (weather permitting), as well as afternoon refreshments and evening aperitifs. The property also has a guest computer, as well as an honor bar located in the main lobby. The inn has a strict no pets policy and only welcomes children over the age of sixteen.
