Palms Place Hotel & Spa Review

: Palms Place, located next to the original Palms Casino, takes the boutique hotel concept off the Strip, but still maintains the standards of on-Strip luxury. Unlike in most Las Vegas hotels, you are not greeted by the dinging of slot machines when you walk in, as this is a non-gaming property. Palms Place is about understated, contemporary luxury without the usual Sin City bells and whistles. Its 599 rooms occupy 47 stories, and include 600-square-foot studios, 1,200-square-foot one-bedroom suites, 1,800-square-foot two-bedroom suites complete with kitchens, plasma TVs and Italian bedding, and glamorous penthouses with panoramic views of the Strip. A popular power lunch spot, the house restaurant, Simon at Palms Place, looks out onto the 50,000-square-foot private pool and spa enclave. The traditional Turkish Hammam is made sexy at Drift Spa, a co-ed experience with modern and traditional treatments, hot and cold pools, curved saunas and beautiful mosaic tiles. Those who can't stay away from the action too long --- gaming or otherwise --- can take the Skytube (an enclosed, elevated walkway) between Palms Place and the Palms Casino.
