Park Hyatt Washington D.C. Hotel Review: This luxury property has played host to visiting royalty, politicians and celebrities throughout its history. It offers impeccable service and well-appointed rooms to visitors who often return for more. The hotel commissions artwork specifically to hang throughout the hallways and rooms. A huge $24 million renovation was completed in 2006 that added a tea cellar showcasing rare and vintage tea selections; spa-inspired bathroom designs; and the Blue Duck Tavern, the hotel’s new restaurant which features a wood-burning oven. Accommodations are tastefully done in neutral tones and furnished with contemporary lighting, wooden blinds and authentic folk art. There is an indoor sky-lit swimming pool and whirlpool, a 24-hour fitness center featuring cardio and weight machines, and conference and banquet facilities covering 12,000 square feet. The location is within walking distance of the White House, the National Mall and Georgetown.
