Portland Marriott City Center Hotel Review

: When you step inside the dramatic lobby and take a gander at the fancy staircase and glittering chandelier, you may think you’re in New York instead of little old Portland. This urban behemoth towers high above Broadway in the heart of the downtown and caters mainly to business travelers. The prime location is convenient to local commerce as well as MAX light rail, which will whisk riders to destinations as diverse as the airport, Nike and the zoo. When it comes to the rooms, corporate types can hunker down at work desks with two-line speakerphones, high-speed Internet access and data ports. Additional amenities include coffee, cable/satellite TV and a complimentary newspaper. Pale striped wallpaper and accents such as ottomans at the feet of the beds, work together to create a refined, European, country house look. The on-site restaurant, The Mez on Broadway, serves contemporary American cuisine of local ingredients.
