Raffaello Hotel Review: This fetching, moderately priced hotel is located just a block east of the Magnificent Mile. The Gothic-style, red-brick building and gray awning beckon guests inside, where the atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you enter the lobby thanks to light that pours in through cathedral windows. The furnishings in the rooms are luxuriously upscale, and the beam ceilings hint at pleasant, provincial, European lodgings. These rooms come equipped with amenities such as 32-inch flat-screen LCD televisions with DVD players and pay-per-view movies, Egyptian cotton bedding and complimentary Wi-Fi. The on-site Pelago Ristorante is both intimate and gracious. A 24-hour, South Beach-inspired exercise facility is available on the property, where massages can be booked at the hotel's second-floor spa. Five executive boardrooms on the eighteenth floor offer a wealth of meeting space options. Attractions in close proximity include Water Tower Place, the John Hancock Observatory and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
