Riverwalk Vista Hotel Review: The Dullnig Building was erected in 1883 and operated as one of San Antonio's earliest grocery stores. Over the next several years, owner George Dullnig become an important local entrepreneur. As for his shop, it evolved into an inn that now offers a slice of local history to sightseers and business travelers. Guest rooms and suites are decorated with a dignified simplicity that is highlighted by rich dark woods, hardwood floors, brick walls and leather furnishings. Among the pampering touches are flat-screen televisions, bathrobes and DVDs, and practical perks include complimentary Wi-Fi. Also free are afternoon cookies and a glass of wine. There is no on-site fitness center or spa at this smoke-free hotel, but guests have free use of the facilities at the nearby El Tropicano Hotel (spa services extra). One meeting room can comfortably accommodate up to twelve. Located in the heart of the city, this inn is a short distance from the San Antonio Convention Center, Alamodome, HemisFair Park, The Alamo and the River Walk.
