Salt Lake Plaza Hotel at Temple Square Review: You'll realize this isn't your typical hotel the moment you walk into the lovely Victorian lobby. Rather than standard, value-conscious décor, you'll find an antiqued mirrored ceiling, formal seating arrangements and brass accents. The hotel's location sheds light on the visitors it attracts. It's next to the world's largest genealogical library, across the street from Temple Square and Abravanel Hall and one block from the Delta Center. Rooms are pleasant with dark floral prints, striped wallpaper, cherry wood accents and provincial-style furniture. Along with the basics, which are augmented with such extras as microwaves, they are business-friendly, offering computer desks with dataports and complimentary Internet access for corporate types who have come to attend meetings in the eight conference rooms. JB's Family Restaurant serves meals in a traditional family atmosphere and delivers to guest rooms. A hydro-spa Jacuzzi complements the outdoor swimming pool.
