Sofitel Chicago Water Tower Hotel Review

: This Magnificent Mile property is a sophisticated, urban addition to the Sofitel hotel group. It was designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier, and its overall style is both hip and warm --- not always an easy balance to strike. Take, for example, the impressive lobby, which pairs a dramatic, geometric staircase with a cozy, living room-like sitting area. The 415 guest rooms and suites offer a range of looks; some are done up in muted honey tones, while others display striking blues. Café des Architectes offers a contemporary setting, softened by circular lamps that hang like lanterns from the ceiling; it also has a seasonal terrace for al fresco dining. The fun Le Bar is also notable, with its floor-to-ceiling glass walls and specialty martinis. Along with its style savvy, the hotel boasts all the usual amenities: a car service desk, meeting and event rooms, concierge, dry cleaning and such. Pets are allowed.
