Sofitel Minneapolis Hotel Review: Chances are whoever assists you will have a French accent---it must be mandatory for getting a job here. It also happens to be part of the European charm that is the trademark of this stylish hotel group. A Seurat-inspired mural is displayed behind the front desk. After checking in, a bellhop will lead you across a broad catwalk that spans the lush garden courtyard. Guest rooms are bright, cheerful and quiet with amenities that include high-speed Internet access, data ports and ergonomic chairs. The comprehensive fitness center features Nautilus equipment and a Hoist Multi-Gym. On-site are two restaurants, the provincial brasserie Chez Colette and the French Mediterranean eatery La Fougasse. There is also a takeout bakery, Le Petite Marché. Although catering mainly to a business crowd, the hotel offers weekend packages to entice tourists and local romantics.
