Soho House New York Hotel Review

: Smack in the center of the hip Meatpacking District, this exclusive six-story hotel and private club in a converted Meatpacking warehouse will please even the pickiest rock star. Its luxuries abound: a rooftop pool, which affords amazing views of Manhattan; a black leather couch-clad bar; and the Swarovski chandelier-laden restaurant, which serves steaks and seafood. The 24 guest rooms have a lived-in urban feel. Exposed wood ceiling beams, brick walls, antique furniture, Persian rugs, canopied four-poster beds and chandeliers combine to give guests a groovy at-home experience. In addition, accommodations are equipped with DVD players, wireless high-speed Internet access and flat-screen TVs. The freestanding baths in the larger rooms are big enough for two. The Library offers an intimate space for cocktails, and the third-floor Cowshed Spa takes pampering to a new level, offering luxury spa treatment rooms, private eucalyptus steam rooms and a relaxation space, as well as indulgent massage and body scrubs packages. The hotel hosts members-only events, such as screenings and private parties. It is also home to Cookhouse, featuring farm-to-fork dining.
