Wheatleigh Hotel Review: Upon approaching the main building at this hotel, you might feel as if you've been transported back in time to sixteenth-century Tuscany. In fact, this palace-like property was erected in 1893. It caters to the resort and spa tourists that flock to the Berkshires, with on-site activities such as tennis, a heated outdoor swimming pool and in-room massages. There are just nineteen rooms and suites on offer. While the rooms are fairly small, they are brightly decorated and offer views of the beautiful courtyard and park. Suites are exquisite and expensive --- they feature meticulous touches such as carved molding, as well as fireplaces, sitting areas and large bathrooms with high ceilings. On these beautiful grounds you shouldn't miss out on the renowned French culinary experience at Wheatleigh's much-celebrated Dining Room. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the bright and elegant restaurant offers mountain and lake views, and exceptional service and presentation will make your dinner even more unforgettable. Complimentary high-speed Internet, a DVD and CD library and daily wine tastings are offered.
