Mitsubishi Reviews

Mitsubishi was first established in 1870 by Iwasaki Yataro as a shipping firm, and quickly rose to prominence as the largest industrial group in Japan, diversifying into everything from coal mining to marine insurance to aircrafts. While Mitsubishi introduced Japan's first series-production vehicle, the Model A, in 1917, in wasn't until after the Second World War that the company's car production began in earnest. After assembling Jeeps under license during the 1950s, Mitsubishi released a string of successful sedans like the compact 500 and the family-oriented Colt 1500. While sales waned in the '90s, the automaker has been revitalized in the new millennium thanks to partnerships with DaimlerChrysler and PSA Peugeot Citroën, releasing a series of innovative, eco-friendly compact cars and the new-age all-electric i-MiEV.
