In
short: A comfortable
five-passenger luxury performance cruiser.
Consider
the STS the flagship car for GM’s Cadillac division.
Everything has been done to appeal to a younger clientele
with this new model, and the sharp-edged look continues
from other siblings in the new line. There is a V6-powered
version, but we would advise you to try the V8 for a
multitude of reasons. It is loaded with electronics
without being totally confusing. A feature we really
enjoyed was the automatically dimming brights upon encountering
oncoming traffic at night.
With
a lot of space for cruising comfort, Cadillac aficionados
need not be disappointed. The cushy leather seats are
there to support you on extended drives, albeit the
driver’s seat could use a couple tweaks. With
its Drivetrain Package, the car is sure-footed (17”
aluminum wheels with P235/50R17 Michelin tires, StabiliTrak
speed-sensitive steering, traction control and panic
brake assist). Add a bunch of airbags, and you get a
very safe ride. And yes, there is plenty of room in
the trunk for whatever you need to haul around.
