The Midwest's Parade of Classics

After 32 years at Oakland University's Meadow Brook Hall, the Concours d'Elegance of America is moving to the picturesque Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan in 2011. On the expansive grounds of the former seminary, guests to the 33rd annual Concours are given an up-close look at some of the finest rare and collectible vehicles in the world, ranging from vintage mopeds to classic Indy cars. Featured in 2011 will be the Duesenberg Model A and Model J classes and pre- and post-war Lincolns, alongside other highly-prized rides.

Differing from the original model of the Concours d'Elegance, which combined high-end automobiles with couture fashion, the Concours d'Elegance of America features a number of unique events over the course of the weekend, including an automotive art exhibition, a motoring tour of the scenic Plymouth countryside and a vintage car auction. For the first time at the Concours d'Elegance of America, owners of classic race cars and high-performance automobiles can also test their mettle on a real two-mile track at the Michigan International Speedway. Of course, the main draw of the weekend is still the Concours itself, which takes place at the Inn at St. John's on Sunday from 10am-4pm. General admission tickets cost $25 and include free parking, shuttle service, and program book.
