2012 North American International Auto Show

Motor City Comes Alive

The 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS will be on display at the 2012 North American International Auto Show

There's arguably no bigger stage in the world for new production and concept cars than Detroit's North American International Auto Show. Each year, car companies show what will be coming soon to a dealership near you and with their concepts, provide a snap shot of what could be in your garage in the years to come.

In contrast to the powerful, gas-guzzling vehicles of previous years, the cars at recent auto shows had an emphasis on efficiency. Many environmentally-friendly cars were on display, showcasing a trend towards alternative fuels and greener themes in the car world.

Cars to look out for at the 2012 show include the Bentley Continental V-8, 2013 Cadillac ATS, 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS, Hyundai Veloster Turbo and Toyota Prius c.
