arguably no bigger stage in the world for new production
and concept cars than Detroit's North American International
Auto Show, taking place at the Coba Center from January 11 to 24. Each year, car companies show what will
be coming soon to a dealership near you and with their
concepts, provide a snapshot of what could be in
your garage in the years to come.
In contrast to the powerful, gas-guzzling vehicles of previous years, the cars at recent auto shows have a stronger eco-minded emphasis on new technology and all-electric driving, showcasing a trend towards alternative fuels and a greener future. There will also be more self-driving and semi-autonomous vehicles on display at NAIAS as Silicon Valley's experimental quirks become mainstream for consumers worldwide.
Cars to look out for at the 2016 show include the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Minivan, Audi's hydrogen-powered h-tron quattro concept, the Faraday FZERO1 EV that can beat out a Tesla Model S P90D, and the plush, luxurious Lincoln Continental.
