2008 North American International Auto Show

Motoring in Motown

The floor of the Detroit Auto Show

There's arguably no bigger stage in the world for new production and concept cars than Detroit's North American International Auto Show. Each year, car companies show what will be coming soon to a dealership near you and with their concepts, provide a snap shot of what could be in your garage in the years to come.

In contrast to the powerful, gas-guzzling vehicles of previous years, the cars at this year's auto show had an emphasis on efficiency. Many environmentally-friendly cars were on display, showcasing a trend towards alternative fuels and greener themes in the car world.
