Automakers
from Europe and from around the world converged in
Paris for the annual Mondial de l'Automobile or Paris
Motor Show from Sept. 30 to Oct. 15. The usual array
of concept cars was on display, including the breathtaking Citroën C-Métisse and Peugeot 908 RC, while other production-ready
models made their world debut. In the wake of the
Caliber's surprising success in Europe, Dodge chose
to unveil its all-new Avenger mid-size sedan in France
as an effort to build the brand further across the
pond. Meanwhile, European makers showed hot new performance
models, like the Audi R8, BMW M6 Convertible and Mercedes-Benz
CL63 AMG. Expect many of these models to show up at
forthcoming auto
shows.
