2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe Premium Collection Review

Luxurious Sports Coupe

In short: A well-appointed luxury sports coupe.

Seamlessly melding high-class accoutrements like plush leather seating and Sapele wood trim with a powerful drivetrain tested on Germany's famed Nürburgring track, the 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe Premium Collection is a stylish expression of luxury performance. Swift, flowing lines allude to this quick coupe's sporty driving dynamics, although the view from behind is less than flattering for the CTS. Rear passengers may also find themselves unsatisfied with the back half of the CTS Coupe, with seating space being quite limited. However, despite its somewhat squashed rear end, this compact Caddy offers decent trunk space, making it ideal for overnight trips to the countryside. Also ideal for country roads is the CTS Coupe's 318-horsepower direct-injected V6, sport-tuned suspension and all season tires, all of which add up to a speedy and sure-footed ride.

While its athletic and efficient engine make the CTS Coupe Premium an able street racer, it's really the intelligent interior technology that sets this luxury sports car apart from the pack. With a glide-up, touch-screen navigation system, pause-and-play live radio, side blind zone alert system and Rainsense wipers, this Cadillac CTS Coupe has done much to earn its "Premium" appellation.
