Dodge Durango Citadel Review

As suggested by its name, the 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel is not merely another rough and rugged SUV — in actuality, this smart sport ute makes for an excellent city ride. Featuring all of the luxury amenities that one could want — including an on-board electronic information center, SIRIUS satellite radio and Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth — the Durango Citadel is perfect for soccer moms who desire both comfort and cargo space. And with the full-size SUV's three rows of seating providing room for seven, you may just feel compelled to take the whole team out for pizza after practice.

On the road, we found the Durango Citadel to be surprisingly easy to maneuver in spite of its large size, with a turning radius that is smaller than those of many family sedans. However, measuring in at a length of almost 200 inches, the Durango may still present some problems when looking for street parking in busy urban areas. Luckily, things are made somewhat easier with the help of Dodge's advanced ParkView rear back-up camera and ParkSense rear park assist system. Other intelligent safety features include Blind Spot and Rear Cross Path Detection, and Forward Collision Warning.
