2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Review

Stylish Sports Coupe

A three-quarter front view of a red 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

In short: A carefully-crafted high-performance coupe.

From its sleek, aerodynamic design to its 4.7-liter, 450-horsepower V8 engine, the 8C Competizione was crafted with one thing in mind—speed. And with a maximum velocity of 181 mph, the horsepower-hungry engineers over at Alfa Romeo seem to have hit their mark. However, while the coupe's wind tunnel-tested body shape may have been fine-tuned for an air resistance-free ride, those clean lines and dramatic curves aren't too hard on the eyes, either.
