2008 Subaru Legacy 3.0 R Limited Review

Not Your Average Mid-Size Sedan

A three-quarter front view of a 2008 Subaru Legacy3.0 R Limited

In short: A sporty and affordable all-wheel drive sedan.

T
his reasonably priced sports sedan provides a welcome relief from the flood of Camry copies that dominate the mid-size car market. Offering standard all-wheel drive, Sportshift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and more horsepower than the similarly-priced WRX, the Legacy has enough character and charisma to set itself apart from the pack. Added to an already impressive array of performance features is a comfortable and well-appointed cabin fitted with perforated leather seats, wood trim, and a touch-screen GPS navigation system. For those looking for a unique sedan that offers both sportiness and sophistication at a good price, the Subaru Legacy 3.0 R Limited is an excellent option.
