The 2010 Ford Focus Coupe is largely unchanged from 2008, when the Blue Oval debuted a two-door version of its compact sedan. A practical and affordable four-banger, this small car seats up to five people and is nearly identical to its sedan counterpart. Stable on the road with decent handling, the Focus has a quiet interior and enviable fuel economy. While not everyone will find the body striking, it does have a sportier edge for a starter car—for example, a decklid spoiler, chrome exhaust tip and European-inspired suspension—that ought to appeal to its young adult target audience. Fortunately for parents, however, the Focus Coupe has numerous safety features, including the standard MyKey system where the car key can be programmed to limit the vehicle’s top speed and sound system volume, and to lock out the traction control system. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, Sirius satellite radio, a four-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, eco-friendly cloth seats, and power/heated outside mirrors. A power moonroof, four-speed automatic transmission, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, Ford SYNC, and eight-speaker 190-watt sound system are all available.
