2010 Kia Forte Koup Review

In short: A five-passenger coupe boasting both value and attitude.

Accompanying the new Kia Forte sedan is the 2010 Kia Forte Koup, a stylish two-door automobile offering a solid value in a sporty profile. The playfully named vehicle uses the same platform as the sedan version and is available in two trims — the base EX and the sportier SX — with both levels equipped with dual exhaust outlets to help strike a more forceful engine hum. Powering the five-passenger car is a 156-horsepower four-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, which contributes to its decent 34 mpg highway fuel economy. Kia claims that their Forte Koup is more powerful than the Honda Civic Coupe, Ford Focus Coupe and Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe. Standard to the auto are sport seats, air conditioning, power doors and windows, Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with Sirius satellite radio. Leather upholstery and a power moonroof are optional.
