nug with a wide bulldog stance that gives it a low center of gravity, the sporty 2009 Mini Cooper Hardtop is a chic means for urban cruising. This fun-to-drive hatchback is powered by a 118-horsepower four-cylinder engine and is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds. Along with the vehicle’s athletic handling—enhanced by dynamic stability and traction controls—is its impressive fuel economy; this go-kart can get up to 37 miles-per-gallon on the highway. Inside, the car fits four adults comfortably, and the front seats are spacious enough for even a tall driver and passenger. Our test vehicle was equipped with six-way adjustable seats, leatherette upholstery, split fold-down rear seats (to enable up to 24 cubic feet of cargo space), a six-speaker CD/AM/FM audio system, and a Sport button that boosts the throttle and steering response. Our tester also came with the available sixteen-inch wheels and sport seats. Park distance control, run flat tires, a navigation system, a panoramic sunroof, a Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter, and a ten-speaker audio system are all available.
