2010 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV Sport Review

Comfort Incognito

A three-quarter rear view of a navy blue 2010 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV Sport

In short: A practical and feature-packed luxury sedan.

A
imed at providing comfort and practicality, this newly redesigned sedan is a suitable choice for people who want a luxurious daily driver without the extra attention. Attractive exterior lines and an optional rear spoiler give the Maxima an athletic appearance, an impression no doubt enhanced by the car’s 290-horsepower V6 engine. Furthermore, while this roomy five-passenger vehicle comes with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive, our tester featured metal paddle shifters and a sport-tuned suspension. Regardless of its sport car pretensions, the Maxima is a value-minded vehicle, including power front seats, a trip computer, a six-CD player and a power sunroof among its standard accessories. Our test vehicle included options such as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel (with audio controls), a nine-speaker Bose sound system and rear bucket seats.

Warranty/Service: Three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty; five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
