Stetson Hats and Apparel
Man on the Range

The lone cowboy outfitted in Stetson |
Stetson, a Western wear brand perhaps best known for its signature cowboy hats, represents a type of man that isn't seen much in popular culture these days—a straightforwardly rugged and weathered man of the land. He may not frequent slick steakhouses like CUT in Los Angeles, but he knows how to rope in the cattle, and takes his steak plain, right on the ranch. Machismo of this kind, as a fashion inspiration, translates best through the sturdy, not-afraid-of-getting-dirty hats, boots and apparel of Stetson.

Stetson clothing, hat and boots |
The iconic cowboy hat has been Stetson's calling card for over a hundred years and is sometimes referred to as simply the "Stetson." The handcrafted hats are steam-blocked to achieve individual sizes, crown shape and brim width. With an archive of hat designs that spans 140 years, the company has recently added new styles that blend vintage designs with modern styling.
In addition to hats, Stetson also offers an apparel line (for both men and women) that includes shirts and denim, as well as a range of boots. While an entire Western outfit is right at home on the range, city slickers would do well to adapt the look with some editing. Cowboy boots can be edgy when worn with dark-washed jeans and a perfectly disheveled shirt. After all, it's the man who wears the clothes, and not the other way around.
