Good For the Body, Good For the Sole Foot Petals' Killer Kushionz
There's no doubt about it: women suffer for their shoes. From pinched toes to aching arches, there’s almost no limit to what we’ll endure for the sake of a sexy shoe. The question, “Why do we do this to ourselves?” will probably forever remain unanswered, but at least Foot Petals has come up with a way to kill the pain if not the habit. Their Killer Kushionz shoe inserts are designed to combat various high heel pitfalls (and prevent pratfalls). The thin, spongy pads are made of performance urethanes and have a strip of adhesive to attach them to the inside of any piece of footwear that’s transitioned from being worn to wearing on you, with a scalloped end that stops beneath the ball of the foot, making these Kushionz just as deadly in open-toed shoes. We found they did a good job of preventing one’s foot from sliding—a frequent cause of blisters—and provided nice padding for the ball and heel of the foot.
If most of your shoe suffering derives from sore arches, however, you’re less in luck—there’s only so much insoles can do. Still, Foot Petals has certainly made great strides in combating pedi pain, and they’re available in a variety of kicky colors and styles fit for every foot.
