HER Energy Drink - Review

A Pink Pick-Me-Up

by Becky Sauer

Her Energy Drink for Women

Most energy drinks on the market target men withmacho packaging and testosterone-driven ads, but HER is looking to appeal to the other 50 percent of the population. Designed with women in mind, HER packs a punch with caffeine and taurine, as well as ginseng, antioxidants and a good daily dose of vitamins B and C–all in a sleek, magenta can with psychedelic swirls. The pink lemonade flavor tastes just like lemon lime soda and is a refreshing change from its sticky sweet competitors.

For a caffeine kick without the calories, HER also offers a no sugar/no carbohydrates version. There is a noticeable difference in flavor, however–an artificial aftertaste that’s often the price to be paid for drinking diet. If you crave a more potent potable on a night out, HER mixes well with citrus vodka to make a pink, girly cocktail.

HER is available in select convenience stores and 7-Eleven locations. A minimum 5 percent of net proceeds is donated to domestic violence shelters and breast cancer research and awareness.
