With several "green" products surfacing in today’s society, the KOR Company is developing their own concept of the environmentally conscious lifestyle in the form of a water bottle. The KOR One Hydration Vessel is a transparent, plastic water container that is completely free of the hazardous compound Bhisphenol A and comes in four different colors with assigned causes: Ice Blue sales will contribute to the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, Saw Grass Green helps the Wetlands Initiative, Sunrise Orange donates to the Container Recycling Institute, and Orchid Pink helps the Blue Planet Run cause. For every purchase, KOR donates 1 percent of all sales to select charity organizations that focus on water-related issues.
KOR is the elemental expression of the word "core," which founders J. Eric Barnes and Paul Shustak relate to water and life. Their blue and green water drop logo represents a yin-yang relationship between earth and water and the constant divide between goals and achievements. In addition to being reusable, their bottles have wide-mouth sipping spouts with hinged caps that pop open rather than unscrew. Small handles make them easier to tote around, and each vessel comes with KOR Stones, paper inserts that can be popped into the caps have inspirational messages like "laugh often" or "never settle." This unique design is meant to remind people of their motivations and possibly provoke a smile when they reach for their water throughout the day.
