Top 10 Films of 2010

![]() |
Although 2010 may go down in the annals of history as the year that Facebook finally made it to the big screen, our annual Top 10 Movies list finds filmmakers looking to the past for inspiration as much as our hyper-connected future. While the sci-fi-inspired "Inception" points to present-day fears over invasion of privacy and identity theft with its dream-plundering plotline, biopics such as "The King's Speech" and "The Fighter" look to figures from recent history as sources of encouragement for a generation racked by uncertainty. Of course, if the lofty ambitions of Janus-headed directors all seems a bit much, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find box-office-topping family favorites like "Toy Story 3" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1" numbered among the ranks of our favorite films of the year. Happy viewing!
