Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Top 10 Comedies

Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Steve Carell in Anchorman

For the hordes of 20-somethings who spent their formative years sneaking into theaters to see what kind of crazy character Will Ferrell would think up next, "Anchorman" is ... kind of a big deal. In one of his most outlandish roles to date, Ferrell hams it up as Ron Burgundy, a cologne-drenched, Scotch-swilling news anchor in 1970s San Diego who must defend his turf when the good ol' boys club down at the station is threatened by the feminine presence of new hire Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate). Along the way, Burgundy and his crew (which includes Paul Rudd and Steve Carell) brawl with rival news teams, sing Starland Vocal Band covers and even ride unicorns as they come to the difficult realization that, well, maybe girls aren't that bad after all. Burgundy buffs can catch even more of the narcissistic newsman in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."
