Groundhog Day

The scoop: Imagine you're stuck living the same day over and over again, with all of life around you repeating itself again and again until you're ready to go completely nuts. That's what happens to self-centered TV meteorologist Phil Connors (Bill Murray) while on the road covering Punxsutawney Phil, the weather forecasting groundhog, on February 2. Phil gets stuck in time, and has to repeat Groundhog Day every day. At first, he takes advantage of the situation, indulging in hedonistic behavior, then he goes on a suicidal streak, but finally he is forced to reexamine his life, deciding to change for the better.
