Plot: Pacer Burton, son of a white rancher and a
Kiowa mother, is torn between two sides in a deadly
conflict. He has to decide whether his loyalties lie
with the white settlers or with the native Indians in
this beautifully tragic, pro-Indian, western drama.
Perks: Directed by Ron Siegel of "Dirty
Harry" fame (he also did one of our all-time favorites
that didn’t make the cut for this list, "Two
Mules For Sister Sara"), this movie stars a pre-schmaltz
young Elvis. In fact, it's probably the only good
Elvis movie ever made.
