Top Spas in New York City
Bliss specializes in savvy skin care, although all 21 Bliss Spas worldwide (we’ve experienced Bliss Soho and Bliss outposts at W Hotels in Los Angeles and Barcelona) offer a comprehensive spa menu. The brand’s flagship spa was created by Marcia Kilgore, who started in business by giving facials to friends in her apartment. In 1991, she created her own Soho spa and, in 1996, she opened Bliss Soho within an office building on lower Broadway. This original location still retains original employees and clients; its expert aestheticians assess all the new ones carefully. Recently renovated, its 2nd and 3rd floor space features walls painted “Bliss” blue, signature “bubble” décor, mid-century modern furnishings and a sculptural nail polish wall hanging. There are lounges and locker rooms, nine massage rooms, nine facial rooms, three wet rooms with Vichy showers, a VIP room with a window and a couch, and a place for a 15-minute Brazilian wax.
