Weleda Pomegranate Body Care - Review
The Power of Pom for Your Peau

Weleda, one of our favorite skincare lines, has launched a delicious new Pomegranate Regenerating Body Care collection. Like all Weleda products, the creamy body wash and body oil smell divine: a strong bouquet of juicy red fruit is followed by a whiff of sweet mulled wine. Both work great on winter-dry skin, thanks to an antioxidant-rich organic pomegranate seed oil from Turkey.
A couple of words of warning: Weleda neophytes might be disappointed that the wash doesn’t foam and that the oil is, well, rather oily. But Weleda uses only natural products and never incorporates foaming agents such as sodium lauryl sulfate. The oil takes a little time to absorb, but the results speak for themselves: smooth, glowing, well-nourished skin.
Another interesting thing about Weleda is the company’s devotion to anthroposophy and the holistic ideas of Dr. Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf Schools and creator of Biodynamic Farming. Knowing this may make you consider using only products with ingredients that are truly natural and organically farmed.
Growing up in Germany, right next to the farms where Weleda grows the plants that are utilized in their products, we used to have to ship our favorite skincare products to the U.S. Now, we can save on stamps, since Weleda is finally available at Target and CVS, and, of course, at www.weleda.com!
Price: Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash (7.2 oz.) $18; Pomegranate Body Oil (3.4 fl. oz.) $28.
