Ciao Bella Soy Shampoo and Conditioner

Be Nice to Your Hair

By Emily Tsay

Ciao Bella Soy Shampoo

We feel bad for mistreating our hair all these years. Our tresses really didn't deserve to be dyed and fried so often, or to be tortured over and over again with harsh chemicals. We decided it's time to make things right. What prompted our change of heart? Ciao Bella's natural soy shampoo and conditioner.

The moisturizing formula is ideal for dry and color-treated hair, containing soy and silk proteins to rebuild hair by minimizing breakage and restoring elasticity. The shampoo produced a satisfying lather that felt gentle on the scalp, and the conditioner was rich without being heavy. What really did it for us was the subtle lavender scent, which is much more pleasing than the over-powering fragrances of most other shampoos and conditioners.

The fact that this soy hair care line is made with natural ingredients like aloe, chamomile and jojoba makes us feel like we're doing something nice for our hair every time we wash it. While we can't promise that we'll be saying "arrivederci" to hair dye for good (no one appreciates dark roots), at least we'll have Ciao Bella on hand to amend our hair sins.

Prices: 6 oz. shampoo, $11.95, 6 oz. conditioner, $13.95
