The lusty illustrated ladies of the 1940s have made the leap from calendars to cosmetics, thanks to Pin Up Balms. This line of lip balm tins features a different fierce femme for each flavor—Raspberry Rapture, Love that Lemonade, Voluptuous Vanilla and Peppermint Twist, just to name a few. (Good luck resisting the temptation to collect them all.)

This product may sound like it’s in danger of favoring form over function, but we found that what was inside was nearly as good as what’s on the outside. Though not particularly long-lasting, the balm was moisturizing without being too greasy. We were also pleased that the line uses all-natural ingredients like beeswax, avocado oil and apricot kernel oil. The balm’s slide-top cover and slender packaging allow for easy portability, perfect for on-the-go gals looking to add a bit of burlesque flair to their beauty regimen.
