Rosewood Mayakoba Hotel Review: Set in a 1,600-acre enclave on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the all-suite Rosewood Mayakoba is spread out along the white sands of the Riviera Maya on the Caribbean Sea. The 128 luxurious accommodations are decorated with indigenous materials such as limestone, wood and water. They also boast large, open spaces including rooftop sundecks, over-sized terraces, lavish bathrooms (some with outdoor garden showers) and plunge pools. There are even boat docks, since the rooms are sprinkled throughout lagoons. Guests can dine at Casa del Lago, which serves authentic Mexican cuisine, or enjoy the extensive tequila selection at Agave Azul, where resident experts share their insights on the Mexican beverage. For recreation there is the 7,000-yard, Greg Norman-designed golf course, El Camaleon, as well as deep-sea fishing, snorkeling and diving. For relaxation, Sense spa offers a variety of treatments and yoga classes. While we can't imagine anyone wanting to take their office duties with them to such a remote, pristine place, the resort caters to travelers intent on both work and play with 2,600 square feet of meeting space. |
