But all this space is necessary for the numerous conferences hosted here. On the plus side, a $60-million renovation updated meeting spaces, the Regency Club Lounge (now with a full business center) and 400 new guest rooms. Among the room décor you'll find fun maroon and blue geometric patterns. Accommodations come fully equipped with lots of extras, including free high-speed DSL Internet access. Five eating and drinking spots include Stetson's, a steak-and-chop house. Jogging paths are easily accessed from the front door, and the hotel is one block from the Lakeshore Athletic Club Illinois Center, with lap pools, a climbing wall, spinning equipment and more. Guests may visit the nearby Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, the Museum Campus, Buckingham Fountain and Grant Park, or attend to business at the nearby Loop.
