Shangri-La Hotel Xian Review: Small by Chinese standards with just 386 rooms, the Shangri-La Hotel Xian has nonetheless set the standard for deluxe accommodations in the heart of the Gao Xin hi-tech zone of Xian. Built in 1985, the hotel underwent major renovations in 2003, and now spiral staircases and granite statues await you as you enter the glass-faced building.
