Chateau de la Messardiere Hotel Review: A pastiche of different styles—Disney-style belfries, Moorish arcades, and Florentine columns—characterizes this lovely 19th-century chateau set on a forested hilltop above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Ramatuelle vineyards and the Pampelonne beaches. Guest rooms, redone as of the 2007 season, are reminiscent of colonial cabanas with pitched roof ceilings and decorated luxuriously in tones of beige, brown and deep green. Three new sea view junior suites come with a private terrace and are decorated in the same Italian Provencal style as the rest of the hotel. All of the hotel's rooms and suites feature four poster beds, fine linens, sumptuous baths including double sinks and whirlpool tubs and a selection of L'Occitane en Provence beauty products. For the business clientele, there's also a new meeting room and two new breakout rooms as of 2007. And the pool is magnificent.
