| This property was built in 1876 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was restored in 1986 and opened to accommodate modern travelers in 1995. Its name is French for Big House of the Cajun. Ten-foot ceilings, decorative moldings and antique chandeliers illuminate the home's Victorian origins. There are only three guest rooms, offering a private, peaceful and luxurious retreat at excellent rates. All stays include a full breakfast on the weekends. Baked Eggs L'Acadienne is the house specialty. The inn will happily accommodate those with restricted diets. Multi-night and senior discounts are available. Children are allowed, but pets are not. |
