Castello Ducale Hotel Review: Nestled among olive trees and grape vines in the Solopaca region of Italy, this castle hotel sits on a farm of roughly fifteen hectares that produces organically grown wines. The basement houses a paleo-Christian church dating from the eleventh century; it has been used as a wine cellar since the 1700s and can also serve as a setting for wedding ceremonies. Fifteen elegantly furnished guest rooms offer views of the historic city center and surrounding valleys. Children are welcome, as is evidenced by the on-site playground. Guests of all ages can enjoy a swimming pool, courtyard and garden. An on-site restaurant adds ambience with its large fireplace and features traditional dishes paired with a nice selection of wines.
