Royal Garden Hotel Review: This dramatic building has excellent views of London over Kensington Gardens, as well as down Kensington High Street --- the home of chic and sleek high street names as well as designer boutiques. The marble lobby is impressive, with the raised Park Terrace restaurant to one end, and the bar and lounge area looking out onto the gardens. It has, of course, the latest state-of-the-art facilities in each room: in-house movies, two telephone lines, personally controlled air-conditioning and more. Rooms have wooden furniture and are furnished in a simple but elegant style with soft brown and beige colors. Blackout curtains mean guests will sleep wonderfully. One excellent feature is a sitting area by the huge windows, offering both good views and the feeling of being set apart from the main bedroom. The new Soma Centre features Pilates, yoga and holistic treatments. Min Jiang restaurant has recently started a dim sum platter to go with its cocktails, so head up to the tenth floor and enjoy some duck pancakes and scallop dumplings while gazing out over one of the most incredible views across London's Hyde Park that you will ever see.
