InterContinental London Park Lane Hotel Review: This modern hotel is situated at the crossroads of Park Lane, Piccadilly and Hyde Park Corner. Following a late 2006 makeover (to the tune of more than $110 million), the hotel now has 297 additional rooms, along with health facilities. Rooms are designed with a residential feel, with stripy wallpaper, striped silk bedspreads and low lighting. Comfort competes with style, and guests will feel instantly at home. The 60 elegant designer suites reflect London’s fashionable lifestyle, offering guests complimentary access to Club InterContinental, a drive in an Aston Martin, dedicated concierge and 24-hour butler service. Guests can rejuvenate at the Spa InterContinental at one of six treatment rooms (including a VIP suite), featuring Elemis and SUNDÃRI products. With state-of-the-art facilities, a ballroom and a variety of business suites, the dedicated events floor is ideal for meetings, conferences and ceremonies. Informal meals may be taken at Cookbook Café, while rustic Italian fare at Theo Randall adds culinary flair to one of the best hotels in London. The Arch Bar serves cocktails and features a bi-monthly Gin & Jazz event, and guests can also enjoy light bites at the Wellington Lounge's limited edition “Scents of Summer” Afternoon Tea, a collaboration between executive chef Ashley Wells and Floris perfumers.
